I bought adult knee and elbow pads for roller skates. Firstly, I love the look, style and concept of the last worn as a sock/suspender. But after a few minutes of wearing, they became too tight. I am a woman with thick legs and knee pads that are too tight. My husband didn't even bother to try them on because they were too uncomfortable for him. I still wear them, just enjoying the ride and forgetting about them, but what a relief to take them off. They are definitely doing their job of protection. They are solid and durable.
