Review on πŸ”ͺ Aurora AU740XA 7-Sheet CrossCut Paper and Credit Card Shredder with Basket, in Black by Andrew Gomez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Broken within 2 years with little to no use

UPDATE: The shredder had some kind of malfunction or paper jam and literally broke the mechanism in half under the lid. The strange thing is that this was only possible a few sheets wide. Looks like a screw came loose or something and I checked under the cover and the block holding it all together broke in half. So complete garbage. I've literally used this thing maybe 20 times in two years shredding confidential papers and it can supposedly shred CDs etc? No! It's a lightweight mechanism and thank goodness I bought it on Squaretrade because at least I get back what I paid for it. The problem I have is that nowadays everything is made to only last a few years whether you use it or not. This is made in CHINA and that is the problem with Chinese electronics. They are only made for a maximum of 2 years. If you have more of these, you're in luck. First tip: Works well and is small enough to tuck under a table with legroom.

Pros
  • Paper must be centered in the slot to activate the sensor. Also, the feed slot has an angled or sloped profile, which is helpful when paper is fed in at an angle rather than straight down.
Cons
  • Full Piggy Bank Price
