Have fun grinding!

This is just a replacement for an older one that lasted 6 (yes, SIX) years and started to squeak lol. Anyway, it's still a very slow and loud beast, but it gets the job done! I don't know about 6 leaves because I don't even think you could get that many leaves in a very small slot. The company that sells this is superb and even took care of shipping before it was shipped. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that it's nowhere near as good as many other more expensive shredders, so…

Pros
  • 7 blade cross section, 3.7 gallon reservoir
Cons
  • write later

I'm happy with it, size and strength

Did everything it was supposed to. I'm happy with the size and durability. But the feeding slot is inconvenient to use. The protective grille (grey shutter in the picture) is poorly constructed. It has 3 positions: fully closed, half closed and open. The grinder will not work if the guard is open or fully closed. The only position it will work is when the shield/flap covers more than half of the feed slot (middle position). This is obviously done for security reasons, but it's frustrating. Why…

Pros
  • Allows continuous grinding for 3 minutes on and 30 minutes off. Tears credit cards one by one, staples and small paper clips
Cons
  • No machine

Broken within 2 years with little to no use

UPDATE: The shredder had some kind of malfunction or paper jam and literally broke the mechanism in half under the lid. The strange thing is that this was only possible a few sheets wide. Looks like a screw came loose or something and I checked under the cover and the block holding it all together broke in half. So complete garbage. I've literally used this thing maybe 20 times in two years shredding confidential papers and it can supposedly shred CDs etc? No! It's a lightweight mechanism and…

Pros
  • Paper must be centered in the slot to activate the sensor. Also, the feed slot has an angled or sloped profile, which is helpful when paper is fed in at an angle rather than straight down.
Cons
  • Full Piggy Bank Price
