Review on Enhance Your Artistry with Nicpro Kolinsky 7, Professional Miniature Watercolor Brushes by Gelin Battle

I had high hopes when I saw Kolinsky's detailed brushes. As a watercolor artist, I like working with natural brushes because they hold more water and pigment, and it would be great to have a detail brush that lasts a lot for its size. Unfortunately, they did not show the expected results. When I tested them on Arches 140# paper, I was usually only able to draw a few inches before the ink started bleeding or just faded. Compared to a similarly sized inexpensive taklon brush I had, the cheap brush actually held a lot more water and paint. I also found that the NicPro brushes don't hold the point well. Some were round rather than pointed and some that had a point stretched slightly if not soaked well in water/paint. I have to say I was very impressed with the customer service. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, they very quickly offered to take care of it. Unfortunately I ended up sending them back for a full refund.
