palms not hard enough to rub. Anything I can do with it, I can do with my own hands. I've tried flushing everything to see if there's anything really useful. but it's so damn soft, the only thing it's good for is body wash. without rubbing. There is no peeling effect. The gloves foam easily and are comfortable. but I only need them when my hands have psoriasis or are injured to protect them from chemicals. Might be ok on your machine as it worked on the machine and I didn't have to take a sponge. Didn't work for my large dog. two small children "let" me try. But I could do better with a brush and with my hands.
