The Swagtron consistently tops lists of 'best balance bikes' so when it came time to buy one for my daughter I settled on this one. Even though she refuses to use it, I still can't say enough bad things about it. First, it comes LARGER assembled. You'll need to add a steering wheel and seat, but both options are pretty straightforward and the steering wheel requires a bit of patience. I WILL SAY that although the wheels came pre-installed, they were placed the wrong way, so maybe they shouldn't have been installed. (There is a directional arrow for the wheel to follow and my front wheel is opposite the arrow.) The handlebar setup is a bit tricky as you have to align and tighten everything but you need to find a sweet spot between tight/loose, For example, if you over-tighten the front wheel won't spin, but if you don't over-tighten the handlebars will move and not align with the wheel. I have this in a good spot, but I'm pretty sure if mine daughter falls on this thing, I have to realign the steering wheel every time she does. It's just not possible to tighten the handlebars enough that they can't move, but loosen them enough for the wheel to spin. The bike itself feels very strong yet light and the wheels on the bike are GREAT! Real inflatable rubber wheels, no styrofoam or plastic waste. It's a very good bike once you set it up. Can't wait for my daughter to actually use this item! I will say my daughter is about 32-34 inches and she is the absolute minimum height for a bike. The seat is in the lowest position for them. safe and comfortable ride.
