That's a good idea and a bad idea.
What I liked about this product is that it covers the bumper end to end, but the main thing I don't like is that you always have to adjust the straps, that will Also the bumper is discolored and the straps can be easily cut which I discovered after someone tried to steal the mines. But as said, it protects the bumper as long as it doesn't discolor during use of the device. I haven't had any dents or scratches since using it either. So, as they say, to protect or not to protect, that is the question.
