It works out of the box with my Thinkpad laptop. However, my wife doesn't like it as she uses a different display setting on her Dell laptop. I had to change the resolution on her Dell laptop and then disable the graphics accelerator in the display settings. My wife still complains that it doesn't work well with her laptop. So I turned off the automatic source search and set it to computer input. Guess one item less. It works well in my presence, but my wife still struggles when she wants to use it for her presentation. To me it's a good value as Infocus offers a [.] dollar discount (although I haven't received it yet). Color and resolution are good for presentation. If you have 1024 x 768 resolution without a graphics accelerator, the connection should be easy. If you're using 16x9 HD resolution, you'll run into some issues.
