Cheaper than some projector lamps!

This projector is the initial setup for my church. It works great with my laptop. Automatically detects the source. At less than [.] dollars after the rebate, this projector is cheaper than some of the projector lamps I ordered for Proxima (InFocus) at work! Even at 800 x 600, it's fine for small to medium-sized rooms. And quiet too!

Pros
  • Positive Only
Cons
  • Set Low

Nothing for the office

I bought this device and immediately returned it in exchange for IN26+ for two reasons. The resolution is so low that you can see the "lattice door effect" in the image, and the color saturation in the dim room was completely washed out, even after spending a few hours adjusting it. It's probably fine for general use in a fully darkened room, but as a business projector where ambient light conditions are a constant concern I'd steer clear of it.

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Excellent price. Excellent unit.

I've owned the Infocus X1 for 3 or 4 years now. Aside from the color wheel noise we experienced last year, this has always been a great projector. Infocus repaired the device under warranty and even updated the firmware to give me more options. I recently decided I wanted to buy something new as the X1's extended warranty has expired. Let me tell you that this IN24 is staggeringly better than the X1 and the price for such a device is outrageously low. The fan is significantly quieter and the…

Good projector when using standard 1024x768 resolution.

It works out of the box with my Thinkpad laptop. However, my wife doesn't like it as she uses a different display setting on her Dell laptop. I had to change the resolution on her Dell laptop and then disable the graphics accelerator in the display settings. My wife still complains that it doesn't work well with her laptop. So I turned off the automatic source search and set it to computer input. Guess one item less. It works well in my presence, but my wife still struggles when she wants to…

Not a home cinema projector, but can be used as such.

First of all I would give this projector 4 stars for home theater use. I gave it a 5 because it's a business projector and can't be penalized for not having home theater capabilities. I am very satisfied with this product. Out of the box the colors were a mess. Again, this may be because it's not calibrated as a home theater projector. I highly recommend using the Avia video calibration DVD (with color filters to view). Took me 5 minutes and the colors are more natural than any of my CRT TVs…

Pros
  • Great selection
