I had to remove the cover to align the contacts to actually fit the fuses. The clear lid was a bit difficult to remove because I didn't want to break the tabs. The black fuse pin cover has two small feet on the bottom or through the socket. A small screwdriver might help, but I lifted one side and pressed the spatula connector. Once assembled it worked as it should with the fuses stuck. If the little tab breaks, the mounting screws will hold it together or use some silicone or glue where the center pins go through the base. I don't know if the headlights work yet and I don't see how they could work with a blown fuse. I didn't study it when I disassembled it.
