Review on Install Gauge 1600 Value Complete by Jacob Ferrarini

Good cable set - you get what you pay for

This is a good cable set - my buddy bought the exact same set from Fry (they listed it for $79.99 and sold it at a discount) . for $29.99), so I did a little research and found it a lot cheaper here. This is a good set for the money if you're not expecting true 4 gauge wire. I bought it for a fairly weak amp and subwoofer for which it is perfect. There are many very fine strands of copper in the wires, giving a cleaner sound transfer and higher level than most cheap kits. If you're trying to hook up a large system I wouldn't use this kit, but if you're buying a smaller set of cables anyway, this would be a worthy upgrade. Definitely better than a 10 or 8 gauge setup, but if you want a true 4 I'd look elsewhere. As long as you know what you're getting, which is a pretty decent set, and don't expect an overly standout set, you'll be fine. The reason I rated it so highly is because you get a very good deal for the price and it works well with my system.

Pros
  • Amplifier Cable Sets
Cons
  • Cables shorter than others
