Surpasses Uppababy Vista

We needed a second stroller so mom and dad could carry the kids separately. We chose Thule City Sleek over another Uppababy Vista. Having lived with these two flagship strollers I think we can offer a comparison. In short, dad prefers Thule and mum thinks they're both excellent. Dad loves Thule. The quality materials and engineering behind both strollers are evident the moment you use them. Both are like driving your child in a Mercedes. Sleek, sophisticated and more beautiful than cheaper strollers in every way. However, my father, who is the main user of this second car, is very fond of Thule. Thule sits a little more upright than the Uppababy and is therefore shorter. Slightly easier to maneuver in crowds. But with quality bearings on the front wheels, they both turn just as well and in a nice little radius. The Thule seat is of high quality and offers full recline, an easy-to-use safety bar, a brake and a large sun canopy. Fabrics look premium, feel comfortable, wipe clean and wash easily. Better for tall people. Dad (he's tall) is more comfortable pushing Thule as the handlebars are a few inches higher and he has a little more legroom to accommodate his long strides. -- Closed basket. Dad also likes the closed basket because nothing falls or jumps out. You can even leave some items in the basket when you fold the stroller and put it in the trunk. The Uppababy has a much larger basket that mom prefers to use as a shopping cart, but small items get thrown out on rough terrain and need to be fully unloaded to fold up and fit in a car's trunk. Choose your options. The Uppababy comes with a bassinet, but Thule allows you to buy it separately and its price reflects those savings. We didn't find the bassinet particularly useful in the suburbs and certainly didn't need a second one, so a big plus for Thule. Improved suspension. Thule's integrated suspension is noticeably better on rough terrain. Dad loves taking his older child for long walks on the gravel path and playground and he finds the Thule perfect for the task, even though it's not a full off-road stroller. -- The best style. Dad, a cyclist, prefers the style of a Thule stroller. He loves Thule products and has used their bike racks and car accessories for years. In his opinion, the Thule stroller branding is understated and feels sleek and sophisticated. He finds Uppababy's branding a bit flashy. He also finds Thule as a masculine counterbalance to the somewhat feminine Uppababy. Your mileage may vary.
