Review on Ultimate Waterproof Tape: Sealing, Leak Stopper, Rubberized Seal (4INx10FT) by Dan Quiceno

Fantastic, works great

Bought to cover a leaking humidifier. Eventually I found tons of mold in my humidifier so I just threw it away but I was determined to find another use for that tape. I ended up sealing the edges of my old drafty window for the winter (which was constantly letting cold/dry air into my room and making me miserable). I figured since it was supposed to be a waterproof repair it should also keep moisture out of the room! You can see in my second photo that the moisture in the air wants to get out through the tape, but the tape keeps it in my room well so it drips onto the tape a bit. Awesome, so it works! Pros: The tape has some stretch and flex and is very easy to work with. It's very sticky (great adhesion), but when I moved it while I hadn't pressed it yet, I was able to gently and safely remove it to reposition it. It definitely works - before I taped the window off, my new humidifier with room humidity sensing kept reading L (i.e. less than it can measure, or less than 30%) because it couldn't produce enough humidity to counteract humidity. holey window. Now I can get the space up to 35-37% and only did half of 1 window. Cons: SUPER sticky! I was able to cut it with scissors, but I may have to throw those scissors away because I can't remove the glue from the blades now. Be careful when installing, it sticks to surfaces! I still have tons of tape left over to make another window but I'm worried about removing it. I'll wait until the end of the season to try to remove it from this window and update my review when I can. I don't think this tape is advertised as removable as it's a repair tape so it's meant to last through the winter!
