Review on Processor Intel Core i7-3820 LGA2011, 4 x 3600 MHz, BOX by Wiktor Jak ᠌

Bought back in 2022. Went with me for 3 years of my PhD. Used for modeling, was under maximum load for weeks without a break. Works like a Swiss watch. Pros below: - 6 cores on a Sandy Bridge-E chip, what else to add? - support for 4-channel memory - a lot of cache - LGA 2022 - unlocked for overclocking, 3.2 GHz easily turns into 3.8 Different cons: - 32 nm, eats a lot of energy - does not support DDR4 - out of date for 2022 - each core is weak individually, if not overclocked.
