I have a mini pin/pug mix. He's tiny enough (20 lbs) but "tall". Many of the previous mats we tried were too long or left too much excess space around the bowls which made it easy for him to make a mess. This is a great little mat. Just enough room for a water bowl and food dish with a comfortable space in between and around the perimeter. It's super durable for playful puppies who seem to be competing in the "what can I destroy today" daily olympics. The one improvement I would suggest is in cleaning. It's easy enough to clean and because of the rubber/latex like material it wipes down easy enough. However, the little ridges in the design can be great hiding spots for crumbs to stick to or hide. Other than that, I highly recommend this mat!
