Review on 🔧 Dorman 419-301: All-In-One Belt Tensioner Assembly for Dodge / Jeep Models by Keith Barra

I have used a few Dorman products and remember when they claimed to be famous they were specialist equipment for use in cars. The spanner arrived in a minimalist box with a single sheet of paper containing only general information but no details about this application. The unit itself is what I would call average aftermarket quality. The only issue I noticed is that the index tab design is very different from the original design (which is why I gave it 4 stars). Everything seems fine, but the original design is better in my opinion. After installation, I loosened the pulley and tightened it to spec. 1000 km driven, no problem. Tip: If this happens on a Magnum V engine, simply removing the spool and airbox will suffice. A 1/4" 10mm drive will fit in both. Plus removing the belt of course. Some YouTube videos offer an alternative. Not necessarily. Made in under 30 minutes.
