Who doesn't occasionally burn or just digest something that leaves an ugly layer of sadness on the bottom of the pot? Surely each of us has been there at least once. This is a fabulous thing! Such a simple concept! It removes food particles from the surface without ANY chemicals or abrasives like steel wool that can leave potentially dangerous micro-particles on the pan that, while not visible to the naked eye, can still get into the food the next time it cooks and ends up in your kitchen. Likewise, harsh chemicals can leave traces that can also get into your body. It's really great that you don't have to deal with it. A simple device based on the simple principle of metal-on-metal friction to remove unwanted particles. THIS WILL NOT DAMAGE THE STAINLESS SURFACE OF THE PAN! I can confirm that because I tried it that way. Can't speak for other materials I don't have so it's up to other reviewers but the stainless steel finish goes well with it! I recommend it to anyone who cares about the environment and cares about their family's health.
