Bought another replacement V-ribbed belt with standard grooves and it made a quick chirp every time the car was started. I lasted 3 months until I bought this cross grooved belt and now the sound is gone. It was a 2007 Toyota Yaris. The difficulty was tightening the belt. I installed it as tight as I could, traveled for a day and then went to re-tighten it. The trick to tightening it enough was to use a wrench and screwdriver in the adjustment channel on the alternator top bolt and pry the alternator back up on its bracket.
