My ISP recently sent me a new modem/router (their best model). It has better Wi-Fi coverage than the old one, but now that I have the AX1800 I mainly use the ISP modem/router to connect to the wired LAN. I recently installed a Revain home theater system consisting of a 4K Fire TV Stick, 2 Revain Echo speakers and a Revain subwoofer, all connected to Wi-Fi. I've had occasional problems with my ISP modem/router due to Wi-Fi signal dropouts, but I'm very happy to report that my "home theater system" is working great after connecting them all to the new Wi-Fi AX1800 have. The distance from the ISP modem/router and the AX1800 to our media room devices is about the same. I have 43 ethernet and wifi devices and our house is 3200 sq ft. Feet on each of the two tiers with equipment on each tier. I used my Wi-Fi analyzer to measure signal strength at 5 locations roughly equidistant from the routers above and 5 more locations below. I then calculated the readings and found that the AX1800 increases signal strength by an average of 160% over an ISP modem/router. Surprised and happy about it. I had some trouble setting up the AX1800. I called support and the person I found was great and we revised the setup together and it was very easy. I'm not exactly sure where I went wrong.
