Saw this slicer at my local grocery store. Because it was one of their best-selling slicers; I had to make an online purchase. In my opinion, the food slicer stands out above all because of the adjustable knife guide depth. All the way up and the slicer is safe to use (the blade is "under” the guide and cannot be used for slicing). By going through all 3 levels you can cut into slices about 1/4 inch thick. I found the blades to be very sharp and cut through tubers or "tougher" foods with ease. Slotting the food slicer's protective cover into the included bracket (which then attaches to the back of the food slicer) is just awesome.
