Complete junk!: Handlebars, Stems & Stems

This is terrible bar tape. I don't have a problem with the texture as it's a personal choice, but it feels like plastic. I wonder how it will perform when used with sweaty hands or in the rain. My problem is that the tape has almost no stretch. This makes it almost impossible to adjust the curves of the bar (see photo where I pulled the band as tight as I could without worrying about it breaking). And even with the sides tapered, the lack of tension doesn't match the previous wrap well, allowing you to feel all the edges with your hand "against the grain" (unlike regular cork tape). Because it's related, I've worked as a bike salesman for several shops over the years and made dozens of rod wraps. I prefer traditional cork tape.
