I think the value of pottery tools is really in the eyes and hands of the artist. Personally, I don't use tools very often, but they are necessary for joining parts and shaping or cleaning internal parts or very rounded areas or for machining parts. I especially liked that they come in a carrying case. I try to stay clean and tidy and every opportunity is helpful. I can use them again. The handles are strong yet easy to maneuver in tight spaces. The metal does not move in the grip and runs the risk of jumping out. The variety of tools and options was amazing. I just can't find anything better for the price. These are really high quality tools, with a case. Depending on your needs, you may want something more expensive or more specific. For a general toolbox, this is ideal.
