I bought this for my "Late 2012" Mac Mini. I read a few reviews about it and one person said they installed their Mac Mini upside down to better dissipate heat. I tried doing this, but the power button couldn't line up with the power button hole in the plastic that way, so I installed it right side up anyway. But to be honest, my Mac doesn't get hot. However, it actually stays colder than on my table. Unfortunately my LG monitor doesn't have holes on the back to attach it, So instead I drilled some holes in the underside of my desk (the back of my Mac was facing me for easy access to the cables). I was worried that an upside down Mac might cause some problems, but so far I haven't had any problems. I hope future models of this product expand the power button hole to allow my Mac to fit inside the case upside down. I'm also hoping they make a silver gray model to match my Mac case. All in all it was easy to install and I would happily buy another one if I need it. Future models of this product will widen the power button hole to allow my Mac to fit inside the case upside down.
