The Vantage M has potential. There is accurate GPS and heart rate. My first run had some dips in heart rate but haven't since. I probably wasn't tight enough in the first run. Pretty easy to use (same basic button as M430 and other Polar GPS watches). The keys are more tactile when wearing gloves, which is a big plus compared to the M430. But there are also disadvantages. What I miss the most is the ability to change the color of the training view to black text on a light background. White text on a black background looks nice, but is much harder to read. It's really unforgivable that Polar is removing this option. It makes no sense and ruins an otherwise excellent watch a bit. I would also like to tweak the screens a bit after auto and manual rounds. For manual laps, I want to specify the distance of the lap and the speed of the lap in a mile. Now you get the lap number (doesn't matter), lap time (which means nothing unless you're driving specific stretches on the track) and total time (doesn't matter). For automatic laps, I want total distance, speed per mile for the lap, and total time. If they fix these omissions, I would give the Vantage M 5 stars.
