I'd like to see some science here, like an inner chamber.

It seems to be working. My new Upton Bass hasn't yet exploded when the humidity drops to 20%, but I also use a humidifier. I'd like to see some science here, like an internal chamber on a hydrometer that monitors the moisture level in the bass.
