Something has changed on my NOAA radio. I used to get an OK signal but it has become 99% static. I can say that something is being transmitted, but nothing is clear. I've tried tuning the built-in antenna in every possible way, but to no avail. Well maybe I could get 100% static instead of 99%. I bought this antenna hoping it would increase the signal strength enough to at least be readable. The noise hasn't gone away, but it's greatly reduced. Now the transmission is perfectly clear. I have not experimented with FM reception. I know I could pick up stations with the built in antenna but I don't use this radio for FM reception so I haven't experimented to see if there is any signal gain there. Note: The WX radio and new antennas are in the brick house. The NOAA antenna is about 10 miles straight ahead.
