I have a project to build an indoor security camera for my friend that will email motion activated images day and night. It's designed to work when she's not home and I don't live there, so remote access is a plus. I'm currently testing this camera, which is taped to an aluminum channel as a heatsink with non-conductive thermal tape, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MSL64XG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 RAVPower Li-Po 22000mAh battery with Passthrough, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G1XH46M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 different USB cables and power switch, https://smile. amazon.com/gp/product/B00UR321B6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Netgear Unite 770S 4G LTE mobile WiFi hotspot for internet access, even when running on battery power, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product /B00BLTCZ70 / ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with Motion on Raspbian installed on a Pi 3 B+ as the brain, all packaged in an inexpensive wooden box made by Michael and secured with Velcro 90593. Remote access is done by installing RealVNC on Raspbian. As the hotspot uses a limited bandwidth account. I set the image size to 480 x 640 to reduce bandwidth for email. The test site is on the back stairs about 15 feet from the window where the camera is located. Daytime shots are clear and focus is easy to adjust. Night shots on the track are a bit dark, but in my friend they will be more detailed. I tried using 12v lighting, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CJDJ3VP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with a boost converter, https://smile.amazon. com/ gp/product/B01ID90K4A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, but I will be making a low power LED setup on this camera to save battery life during a power outage. LEDs have a tiny adjustment screw for brightness. I am also happy with the support I received from the seller.
