I have a rescue dog and didn't know what to do with it. She's half coonhound and out of control. She was abandoned twice, but on top of her separation anxiety, she also ran around chasing someone in the street. That would be bad enough, but she doesn't come back to me and dodges when I try to catch her. Very embarrassing and dangerous. She was also a jumper and could not control herself to remain in a seated position. I thought of an invisible fence, but that wouldn't solve the other problems with her behavior. Well this collar solved ALL the problems I had with her. It has incredible range and can solve so many problems if used properly. The first ran after people on the street. I only had to use it twice and she never tried again! I called her name, told her to come upstairs, gave her a chance to behave, then clapped. It's amazing how quickly she realized I was in control, not her. The same method when jumping on guests. I would order her to sit and give her a chance to do so, then hit when she jumped. I've only electrocuted her 4 times since she wore the collar. A green button is enough to let her know I'm looking out for her. I know it's meant to be a positive, empowering tone, but to her, it's about being nice. I've had it for 7 months now and every time I leave my house I've had to put it in a box due to separation anxiety. She will go mad and destroy my house. The Petsafe collar fixed even that. I use the green button in the driveway to let her know I'm watching and there's no howling, screaming, or house demolition. I love this bitch very much and really doubt if I can keep her. Now she really is a new well behaved bitch. She sits still each morning to put on her collar and has the freedom to be a dog without getting into trouble. The charge lasts incredibly long. I only charged it twice and used it 12 hours a day every day. I can't say enough good things about this collar. He met and exceeded all of my expectations.
