I bought this lock to attach my expensive surge protector to the brake unit when camping in RV sites. It's very hard work with a good weight. I've used it 4 times already. Sometimes I just need a U-bolt, but other times the post is wider, so I wrap the cable around and attach it to the U-bolt. That worked great for my application.
