This set represents excellent value for money, but there are a few issues to be aware of. The kit comes in a blister pack on a cardboard base with spacers and small parts held together with clear tape. A few people have noticed that the seals broke when the tape was removed and while I can see this happening it wasn't a problem for me. The biggest disadvantage is that the kit does not come with any assembly instructions or setting instructions. These specs are readily available in good repair manuals such as Motors or Chiltons or Mitchell, but if they are not available then the mechanic is out of luck. I had some trouble fitting the small washers for the primary venturi clusters into the recess. in the carb body because they were too big, but some trimming with an X-Acto knife quickly solved that problem. On a positive note, the kit came with two sets of needle valves, one one-piece with Viton tips and one two-piece with an internal spring. I don't recall buying another kit that included both types of needle valves. All in all, if you are familiar with carburetor rebuilds and have access to tuning information and are willing to make a few small changes along the way, then this kit is great value. To you. If you are new to this type of mechanical procedure you will not have any graphical information, let alone the ability to set the float height and drop off to their correct characteristics, as there is no printed information in the kit.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
