My water bottle came with a straight and small bite valve making it uncomfortable or flat difficult to use , while I ran. Almost no water came out, forcing me to look for a new bite valve. I have found that the 90° angle is the key to a successful bite valve. I also found that instead of having to pull the entire bite valve out like a straight valve, it does have to be opened, instead there is a small piece that you screw in and also makes it a lot easier to use, especially in the middle of a run. The large bite also makes it easier to bite, allowing you to get the maximum amount of liquid out. If you're in the middle of a half marathon, which is what I bought mine for, you need to have enough water to stay properly hydrated. I was also very pleased that the size of the part that fits in the tube is very standard and fits my hydrator snugly.
