Reversible wrist guard

The feature that sets this skateboard mat set apart from the many other mat sets sold at Revain is the wrist guards. Many kits have wrist guards that offer a hard shell on one side only when you instinctively put your hands down to avoid falls. Of course, this will likely prevent cutting the skin on your hands. However, this is not enough to protect the delicate bones around the wrist, and a fracture in this sensitive area often requires a trained professional to treat it properly. The best medicine is good prevention. I love that the G4Free pads have a solid metal bar on BOTH sides of the wrist guard. This will help stabilize your arms in the event of a fall and reduce (but not eliminate) the risk of fracture. Another thing I really like about this set is that the storage bag is made out of a solid material and not mesh. Our old pad set used mesh, and while it ventilates the pads (which sweat with activity), the velcro on the pads keeps catching on the mesh when you take them out or put them in your pocket. A minor inconvenience, but I'd rather not. The pads are durable and well made. Will fit my teen well by using the sleeve and leaving some slack. If I would only use Velcro, the pads would even fit me. They may be too small if you are a really tall person.
