Professional quality at an affordable price. Permanent measurements with Fluke 561 for $199.

As a budget conscious consumer who is also looking for quality tools, I have other Uni-T tools. at a reasonable price while still having similar characteristics to the more well-known "American" (and I put quotes because it's often just an American brand but made in China) brands like -cough-fluke-cough-. I have a Uni-T multimeter, clamp meter and non-contact voltage tester and they are my drivers when it comes to electrical work and have been reliable ever since. I'm in a situation where I need to control the temperature through a vent that I can't access. regularly and borrowed a Fluke thermometer from a friend for this task but it took me longer and Uni-T is a brand I trust and they have proven again why by comparing the results with the Fluke Instruments 561 have compared. - He bought 0.2F for $199 versus this Uni-T for $35.89 (-14% coupon, around $30.99) and you have a winner. The rear display is very bright and color-coded, no power button, only trigger sensitive. The included carrying/storage case is nothing fancy but offers basic protection from scratches, bumps and dust. Honestly, at that price point, it was a great addition. Ease of use but I see this as a growing trend and that means the box and manual are entirely in Chinese (see photos). These brands get away with it because the products are good and have great value, but they're very casual about localization for US markets, and that's something Fluke definitely gets right because it's an American company. Accuracy unbeatable, 5 stars.
