I love kitchen gadgets and some of them are worth it while others just aren't (e.g. cherry bone cutter, watermelon cutter). It's worth it. I love it. I would say it works fine with about 80-90% kiwis. If you get an oval kiwi, it's a little trickier (if you catch the skin and cut it, you have to be a little more careful when trimming). It also helps when they are ripe (soft). But once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. My 12 year old daughter loves kiwis and it was a pain to peel them off for lunch. It's quick - even she does it.
