To be honest I bought this a while ago thinking it was a great idea. If you don't eat kiwis on a daily or even weekly basis, they're just taking up space in your cupboard since you can't use them for anything else.

I've had the Kiwi Tool for about 6 months now. I haven't been able to buy a kiwi large enough to use this tool yet. Seems solid and makes sense, I think Kiwi is more somewhere else than TX. Lol usually more

Slicing/peeling kiwi fruit isn't hard, it's a little tedious, but it's quick and easy. As long as the kiwi is ripe enough, it works great! Simply wash the kiwi, cut in half, press and twist through the middle to the end. Voila! You get 4 nice little pieces of kiwi, only half of the skin remains. Super easy and fast. Definitely worth it.

I like to think it would have made the kiwis easier to manage, but it didn't get much easier than just using a spoon. If the kiwi is too soft it will mash, if the kiwi is too hard don't cut through it and forget to twist it to take the kiwi out. Save some money and drawer space and make a spoon out of it. or piece glass, or find something better. Or buy and show how to use it.

I love kitchen gadgets and some of them are worth it while others just aren't (e.g. cherry bone cutter, watermelon cutter). It's worth it. I love it. I would say it works fine with about 80-90% kiwis. If you get an oval kiwi, it's a little trickier (if you catch the skin and cut it, you have to be a little more careful when trimming). It also helps when they are ripe (soft). But once you get the hang of it, you'll be fine. My 12 year old daughter loves kiwis and it was a pain to peel them off…
