I wouldn't say it's an "extreme" glitter, but it's definitely an iridescent glitter that pleases the eye. I used a thin coat for my project as shown in the photo and got some shine but not as much as I expected. If you want a very glossy finish, use multiple coats. The texture it leaves is quite rough due to the gloss, so I recommend using a gloss finish once it's fully dry that will also seal in any loose gloss that hasn't already been glued to the podge mod. If you had a regular Podge mod, it smells exactly the same, so it's not overpowering like school glue can be.
