For a metal ruler under $5 this is a good buy. However, it is a bit flimsy and may not stay straight if you are not careful with it. As other reviewers have noted, there is a barcode sticker at the bottom that needs to be removed. Removing it keeps the ruler in place while you use it. The problem is, if you don't remove the sticker slowly (I mean very, very slowly) it will leave a sticky residue or maybe even rip the cork backing off. Mine came off perfectly but I was very careful about removing it after reading all the reviews. Finally, the edges of the ruler feel a bit unfinished, so you could cut your hands if you're not careful. Be careful if you allow children to use this ruler.
