We use a commercial weed blocker so digging holes for seedlings should be more accurate This 3x12 auger combined with the thinner 1.75x12 auger works great!It has a sharp edge as the factory edge didn't cut into our clay soil.I used a narrower auger to make the pilot hole and then the 3X12 finished the job easily.I planted 40 tomatoes and the auger worked well and showed little wear It took practice, if anything, but done right, the drill didn't need me to apply power to dig, which reduced the drill's battery life rs extended. Really well made and should last for many years.
