I have some servers without optical drives. This item is exactly what I needed! Plugged it into a USB port and IMMEDIATELY saw the drive listed under the computer. A nice addition is that the cord can be tucked away when not in use. Easy, quick, easy. Plug the little thing into your laptop and a little window will appear asking you what program you want to use to run this device (choose Windows Media Player). Press the button to open the portable external drive, insert a disc, close the drive and voila! CDs play automatically, smoothly and without delay. Whoever said anything. CDs are still the best, and since most new laptops don't have floppy drives, this portable external drive is a must! Got a few PC games on discs so it would be nice to be able to play them again. No problems, fast delivery, perfect condition. 5/5 Already recommended!
