I've never had a PH meter so I can't compare the accuracy exactly but according to google distilled water has a PH of around 5.4 to 5 ,7, This meter reads about 5.70 when I tested it in distilled water, so it seems accurate enough for my purposes of making plant fertigation mixes. The only thing I wasn't 100% sure about was whether I should even dry the probe before storing it, the instructions specifically say not to touch the probe (makes sense). So I just swirled it in distilled water and then screwed the lid on while the device was still slightly damp. I hope this doesn't cause problems because I want to use this tool for a long time.
