Test report: Head protection
Initially impressed with this item but subsequent use has shown it to no longer work. I suspected the extra protective lenses were to blame, so I took them off and did my usual test while looking directly at the sun. The product just doesn't work anymore. I assume the internal connections to the solar panels or CB are to blame. For a few bucks more, I can get a cheap HF helmet that has served me well for years.
