Beware of a tanned face.

I really like the goggles and they are more comfortable than the cheap helmet I used. The problem appeared after a few days. Cheeks and neck tanned! Spring. Another use for my scarf.

Ideal for cutting and grinding.

Purchased for welding in confined spaces. My co-workers love them. I love her. They are light and fit well. Have all the necessary adjustments and come up with shield. I also use them when I have problems with my regular mask fogging up.

Ideal for special applications.

Bought these as accessories for my Hypertherm plasma torch. I've replaced them with old school acetylene goggles and it's a big improvement. They're not the most stylish in the world, but they're great for positioning the cutter and seeing the line as you cut.

Really very good

Judging by some reviews, it can be cheap and not up to par. Bull, good quality, no fashion statement (why at all), comfortable and stable with no straps, gloves, good feel and extra shields. Leave it in direct sunlight for a few hours to charge and it works great. Clean look, fast shading and restoration.

Ideal for occasional use

These devices are great for occasional use. They do not darken as much as a legal auto-darkening welding mask, so they should not be used frequently. I only use them when I'm welding a spot that prevents me from seeing the helmet. I've gotten my face "sunburned" from too much, so I had to retire. Otherwise they are fantastic for what they do.

Test report: Head protection

Initially impressed with this item but subsequent use has shown it to no longer work. I suspected the extra protective lenses were to blame, so I took them off and did my usual test while looking directly at the sun. The product just doesn't work anymore. I assume the internal connections to the solar panels or CB are to blame. For a few bucks more, I can get a cheap HF helmet that has served me well for years.

I like that they charge in the sun

So I bought my friend a welder for his birthday because he wanted to learn to weld. Obvi, I also had to get him all the bells and whistles to go with him. So I looked for different types of goggles and they piqued my interest after reading that they are "auto dimming" and don't require batteries. You simply have to place them in direct sunlight to charge and recharge them. According to him, they work very well and serve their purpose.

Spectacle lenses are not always the best personal protective equipment

When you bought your glasses, the right lens is slightly darker than the left lens when the flash is bright. Shouldn't they be the same? They told me they were defective. Well, based on the reviews I think it's just inconsistent quality and/or preset settings that "can't be adjusted". Some reviews say they are great. You have two dark ones?
