I use this on my 2020 MacBook Air. Works great. I use one Thunderbolt 3 port for my external SSD and the other for this Satechi adapter. I'm using the USB-C port for a MacBook plug adapter (because it's only used for power, not data transfer). Two USB A ports that I use for flash drives, charging Bluetooth headphones, or syncing an iPad or iPhone (you can't use the USB A ports to charge an iPad or iPhone, but if it's at least 80 % is charged, you can transfer data). Others have found the USB-A ports to be quite cramped, but I think the more you use them the less of an issue this will be. But right now, it's a bit difficult to get my hands on my Samsung Ultra Fit. The HDMI port I use to connect to my TV so I can watch Apple TV+ without paying $150-$200 for an Apple TV. I don't use 4K, so 1080p at 60Hz is fine for me. If you're connecting a TV or external monitor, it's best to set it up as a second monitor. Don't reflect the image. Drag and drop any program to the second screen and you're done. By connecting a USB mouse or external trackpad to the Satechi hub, you can close your MacBook and easily control what's displayed on the second monitor. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
