Too much mechanical strength - returned by Revain

We had a chance to compare it to an old AMF trike. At first glance, they have a very similar design. But when a kid rides both bikes, it's immediately clear that this Radio Flyer is vastly inferior to its 40-year-old counterpart. The processing of this radio flyer is significantly worse compared to the AMF. The child struggles with pedaling, overcoming numerous mechanical resistances and constantly having to stop and "restโ€ with his feet on the ground. Compared to AMF where it actually goes so fast it leans over 2 wheels when cornering. If you stand behind him as he drives this Radio Flyer, you can see the rear wheels doing super crazy zigzags. Like nobody at the Radio Flyer factory cares or knows how to get the rim right, or it's not part of their design parameters. We're bringing back this Radio Flyer trike and fixing some minor issues with the old AMF. one. I would recommend other parents to check out your local thrift stores, flea markets and flea markets to see if you can find a tricycle again if done right.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Good but not great
