Disappointment: Cycling

Arrived with missing parts and we overpaid for missing parts. Ruined my granddaughter's birthday. You should be ashamed of yourself. Taking money from people and making sure the product is complete and complete with parts.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall
Cons
  • Updates

Super cute though. for children's tricycles

Note that your little one's front end is heavy, i.e. if it leans slightly forward towards the bicycle frame. Luckily my LO didn't break her nose, but it was enough that a bloody nose bruise had to have a weight drilled onto the back step to make sure she didn't knock her over. it won't take long to do it

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Only available in white

Revain recycles used bikes

Bought for my grandson. Like new. Parts were scratched and warped (see photo) but neatly wrapped in plastic. Then we had a choice: ruin the birthday and lug the box to the post office or pick it up like that, the boys don't care about dents. So we left it, it works fine but it was the same with my other grandson's model. Looks like a pattern

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

disappointing on so many levels

The bolt on the handlebars kept loosening leaving the wheel misaligned with the grips. The seat kept sliding down, rotating and had to be readjusted. The front wheel caught in cracks in the pavement and my little one fell off the bike as it all collapsed. It was also very difficult to insert a long screw into the back, middle and bottom of the glider. I almost hate this bike. I was hoping for a metal tricycle but ended up with the plastic "hard tricycles" because they are low to the groundโ€ฆ

Pack well in advance of the big day, just in case!

When we first bought it, we had the same problem as other reviewers (we all always got the same bike? Did they pass it on?) because it was missing a key metal bar. However, as always, Amazon's customer service is excellent and sent replacements right away. Arrived well before Christmas and was easy to assemble (maybe 15 minutes, more or less). It's beautiful, has a classic/retro look and has held up very well over the past 5 months that we've had it. My little one is rough and clumsy so I knewโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One-year trial
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Difficult. Difficult to travel and study. Complicated assembly.

We live in an apartment in New York and this tricycle is very uncomfortable. It's distressing. It is difficult for her to study because she is heavy and difficult to move. I have to bend down almost 100% of the time to help her, especially when she gets fed up, which is quick. It's not easy to trudge into the park or our common open space. That's a lot to put together. Even a hammer is needed. Easy difficult. We end up not using it very often. I think it will serve you well if your child hasโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Frequency

Great trio! for sport

This is a great tricycle for my son. At 21 months, he's still not fully pedaling, but he'll get used to it quickly. He loves to climb and ride on it. I also like retro 1940s/50s. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it was missing an axle, which isn't exactly an optional part. I bought it for $20 less than new because it said "minor cosmetic damage". It reportedly had a few scratches and a dent, which I didn't care because the kid was going to bump into it anyway. It was in perfect

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Non automatic

Too much mechanical strength - returned by Revain

We had a chance to compare it to an old AMF trike. At first glance, they have a very similar design. But when a kid rides both bikes, it's immediately clear that this Radio Flyer is vastly inferior to its 40-year-old counterpart. The processing of this radio flyer is significantly worse compared to the AMF. The child struggles with pedaling, overcoming numerous mechanical resistances and constantly having to stop and "restโ€ with his feet on the ground. Compared to AMF where it actually goes soโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Good but not great
