, I work as an inspection inspector aboard offshore oil and gas vessels. As part of my job and to set a good example for the ship's crew, I carry this personal gas detector with me. I bought it 3 months ago. It works great. Battery - I use it for about 3 hours per ship and it lasts about 3 ships before recharging. I also like that it charges via USB and doesn't have to carry around a separate bulky charger. It attaches to the pocket of the overalls. It also looks very stylish. It serves its purpose in terms of security. It came with a calibration document valid for 12 months. I highly recommend it.
