I've found that some other A/B switches have problems with using the switches in reverse, ie splitting the signal between two TVs or other devices. That's why I bought it and it works great. Why should I use a switch instead of a splitter? We already had a splitter on the line, and when I added another, the signal strength was too low, resulting in weird video artifacts. I've tried several splitters, including a special "low power" - to no avail. Since two televisions are never used at the same time, I opted for the switch. Installed switch and problem solved. Both televisions now have excellent picture quality.
