Review on 16-Core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor - AMD Ryzen 9 5950X by Jnis Muinieks ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very high-quality product, I take it not for the first time.

If you don't have a specific requirement for the 3950x, my advice is not to get it. It is noteworthy to note that the processor is capable of delivering 4.5 GHz to all cores in certain loads: D Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's speak about overclocking and PBO. If I'm being really honest, I don't see the value in performing this action for this stone. By default, when he is activated (after being plugged in and turned on), he is increased to about 5GHz. And it's still really warm. Therefore, I didn't even bother to attempt it.

Pros
  • When compared to the 3950x, the system has improved responsiveness. Some slowdowns and unexpected stutters in the user interface have been eliminated. When compared to the 3950x, the performance of the system has not improved by a significant amount. The compilation speed is unaffected by plus or minus. The actual frequency without PBO when operating on one core when under load is increased to 4.975 GHz. Let's move on to the next topic, which is games. Even though I don't play video games very often, I've noticed that the frames per second (fps) in the games I do play have increased substantially, and the gameplay has become more fluid.
Cons
  • We observe temperatures that are 10–15 degrees higher while having the same TPD and CBO as the 3950x, but without having the PBO mode on. Which can reach a maximum of ninety degrees. The memory controller in the 3950x and this machine are identical. When it comes to cost, it is even more expensive than the 3950x when you first buy it.
