I ordered this 7Petal car charger for my old 1994 Saturn coupe so I can charge my phone in it. My first impression: This is the most durable and coolest cigarette lighter charger I have ever seen! When you plug it in, it will flash blue for one minute and then illuminate to test and reset the CO/Smoke Alarm as instructed. This happens every time you connect it to the network. It gets warm when plugged in, but not hot. I plugged in my phone, it was 50% charged, and it was fully charged in about an hour and a half. By the way, in many older cars, like mine, the cigarette lighter is hot even when the key is off, so be sure to unplug it when you get out of the car or it will drain the battery. little confusion as to whether this is just a carbon monoxide sensor or a carbon monoxide and smoke sensor as stated in the description. It is simply listed on the packaging as a carbon monoxide alarm. The instructions say a carbon monoxide and combustible gas detector. I decided to test it the same way I test my smoke detectors at home. I lit two wooden matches, blew them out and placed them directly under the sensor holes so the smoke could rise into them. Nothing has happened. I did this three times and nothing happened. So I believe this is not a smoke alarm, just a carbon monoxide alarm. In trying to figure out how to test the carbon monoxide function, I decided to take a 6 foot water supply hose and blow directly into the 8 holes where the carbon monoxide detector is located. Your breath is mostly carbon dioxide, but it also contains some carbon monoxide. The first time I did it, it exploded on the 4th hit. So I set the camera to video and it took 6 hits the second time around. Of course, it takes a few taps to dislodge the room air from the hose, so that's understandable. So I believe this is an effective carbon monoxide detector and the charging part works well. I will continue to use it and update my review if there are any issues but so far it seems to be a very good product maybe with some errors in the description. An emergency and I believe it will work. This is a very reliable device. I almost gave it four stars due to an error in the description and I think it's a bit overpriced. However, it is good to have a carbon monoxide detector, especially on older cars where exhaust leaks can occur.
