Review on Smiths Adjustable Manual Knife Sharpener by Paul Newton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

solid, simple, easy to use, good value for money

I was looking to upgrade my Smith pocket sharpener and it goes perfectly with all my fixed and folding knives. It sits firmly on flat surfaces. It takes no effort to guide blades through rocks. This is a great purchase as an alternative to using flat stones which I've never been good at. With my knives, it doesn't take long to sharpen the blade. I confess I haven't used it on a serrated blade yet. So I can't talk about how he behaves there. The possibility of changing the sharpening angle is interesting. It ranges from 14 to 24 degrees. I have a set for 22, "Sport". It seems to work. I love the idea that I could use it on my kitchen knives if I wanted to. The device is mostly made of plastic and has a rubberized grip. However, it has a good weight. I wouldn't use it to sharpen something large like a machete or an axe. I would buy it again; I definitely recommend it. You will justify your money.
